For individuals and families
Matrain's recommended age is five and up. Children from age five through the early primary years should use the product with a parent or instructor; older learners may also need support depending on their experience.

What we observed in outreach activities
We observed parents and children discussing the track, encouraging each other and testing ideas together during hands-on sessions.
A shared physical result makes it easier to talk about what happened and what to change next.
What we do not promiseInterest, persistence and learning outcomes vary. The product does not guarantee a specific ability gain or length of engagement.

The first way to use it
Build a track, place a color snap and run the train. The vehicle reads the color and changes its movement. Start by watching, moving the snap and trying again.
Age and adult support
There is no upper age limit. Reading, searching and device operation differ by learner, so provide adult support according to experience and development.
The product contains small parts. Use and store it away from infants and pets.
A parent or instructor should supervise handling of track pieces and snaps and assist with the learning site or devices.
Many learners can work more independently, but reading and device tasks may still require help.
The manufacturer's package shows a 3+ safety mark. Matrain applies a more conservative use guideline of age 5 and up.
